| Title: | Image Schema Structure and Relation to Conceptual Blending |
Image schemas are suggested to be the conceptual building blocks formed in early infancy from sensori-motor perception. In this talk the theory of image schemas will be introduced with focus on the problems with image schema structure by presenting our current suggestions on how to address this problem.
Image schemas will also be discussed in relation to conceptual blending. The role they may play to take formal approaches of conceptual blending from purely syntactic approaches to a (at least partly) more semantic approach.
