Oberseminar: Heterogene formale Methoden

Date: 2022, May 17
Time: 10:30 a. m.
Place: G29-018
Author: Glauer, Martin
Title: Smiles and Selfies

Abstract:

The chemical domain is growing swiftly. New substances are being produced faster than they can be collected and classified in a standardised way using classical methods. Artificial intelligence methods are increasingly being used to assist this process. Since many modern methods (e. g. LSTMs, transformers) are based on input sequences, some embedding methods have become established. In this talk, we will get to know three of these methods (Smiles, DeepSmiles, Selfies) and discuss the advantages and disadvantages.
