Title: | An Ontology for Open Energy Modelling – An Updated Version |
Energy modelling aims to influence or predict the development of the energy infrastructure in the future, mostly via simulations. These simulations are often based on specific scenarios consisting of assumptions on future developments, goals to achieve etc. Despite the major impact of these assumptions on simulation results their documentation is often not detailed enough and suffers from inconsistent vocabularies and views among different communities. As part of the project SzenarienDB we developed a first open ontology for energy modelling. In this talk we will present the current state of this ontology and outline possible use-cases for the energy modelling community.
