Title: Scenario-based Ontology Evaluation – Introduction, Inner Workings, Examples and Next Steps

Abstract:

Scenario-based Ontology Evaluation (Scone) is, among other things, a tool transforming specifications written in a controlled English into tests and applying them to an ontology in order to evaluate it. Scone does so by leveraging a general purpose tool used to apply Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) in Software Engineering, transferring this methodology to Ontology Evaluation. This talk will explain the purpose of Scone and usage of Scone. The latter will be explained by examples of the Syntax of the Scone language and how these examples will be translated to tests on an ontology. The inner workings of Scone will also be laid out by explaining both, Scone's structure and how the tools Scone is build upon operate.

The talk will finish by outlining the current developmental State of Scone as well as pointing out the features currently under development.
